Every journey leaves a mark.
Every garment tells a story.
The Heart of the Project
Clothing that carries stories, connection, and impact across the globe.
Inspired by the invisible red threads that connect us, and the necessity of rebuilding a travel-friendly wardrobe, Common Threads grew from a personal passion into a mission to give back. As a digital nomad, my life is a tapestry woven through vibrant cities and quiet moments, from eclectic vintage markets in Lisbon to curated boutiques in San Diego. In every place, I seek out high-quality, pre-loved garments that carry a unique history and timeless beauty.
For me, this isn't just about clothes; it's about the chapters in my life they've witnessed.
My dream is to pass the best pieces on to others ready to embrace new chapters of their own. It’s about my enjoyment of discovery, the importance of sustainability, and the profound power of connection through self-expression.
Common Threads is where our individual stories meet.

From Building Communities
to Collecting Stories
Hi, I’m Lynzie Smith. My work with Common Wealth Collective is all about empowering women and female-led brands to build thriving communities through business, often giving them the freedom to live life on their own terms. For me, that freedom has manifested as a digital nomad lifestyle, living between cities like Chicago, Lisbon, San Diego, and Vancouver.
Alongside building my business supporting women, thrifting has become a deeply personal ritual. I love a good treasure hunt. For me, thrifting is not just a hobby; it's a way I’ve rebuilt my own wardrobe after personal and financial hardship. It’s also become a way for me to connect with the unique character of new places and honor sustainable living. Along the way, I’ve found unexpected beauty.
I often say that creating wealth isn't just about financial prosperity, but about shared purpose. Common Threads is a living extension of that belief, literally wrapping stories around us and weaving a stronger, more sustainable sisterhood. This project is a chance to merge my love for entrepreneurship, community, and conscious living into something that can impact others beyond clothing.
We can do anything in a great outfit. Let's start rebuilding our future together.
For now, Common Threads is a curated collection of pieces ready for their next journey. But the vision extends far beyond. We're building a movement centered on:
Circulating Beauty: Bringing unique, enduring style to you, piece by piece.
Celebrating Sustainability: Giving high-quality garments a new life, reducing waste, and promoting conscious consumerism.
Empowering Women: All clothing not sold is donated to our partners. As we grow, a significant portion of sales will support these incredible non-profits dedicated to helping others rebuild their lives. We intend to provide wardrobe confidence, personal styling, hair and makeup for job interviews, first dates, and other new beginnings.
Connecting Globally: Sharing organizations from the places I visit, along with my stories and those contributed from other's we are able to support. My goal is to foster a deeper sense of community.
This is just the beginning of the thread. Your participation, stories, and support are crucial as I continue to stitch this vision into reality.

Every item purchased from Common Threads has a ripple effect. Currently, excess clothing from my travels is donated to exceptional women’s organizations in the cities where I’ve lived. As we grow, a significant portion of all sales will also directly empower these vital causes.
